This hadith is narrated by Jabir (ra) says that the holy Prophet (pbuh) had a secret & confidential talk with Imam Ali (as) at the day of ta'if when the people raised their objection, the holy Prophet (pbuh) said this is from Allah (swt).
Imam Nissaie also mentioned a hadith from Umme Salma (rz) that at the last moment of the Holy Prophet(pbuh),The Prophet sent everybody out and only had secret and confidential talk with Imam in his last hour. Please check the narration from Nissaie.
English Translation:
Sayyidina Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) called Sayyidina (RA) during the Battle of Ta’if and confided with him. The people said,
“The confiding has lengthened with the son of his uncle.”
Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said,
“I have not had secret talk with him, but Allah has had secret talk with him.”
Imam Tirmidhi graded it as Hassan Hadith
